Classic Cover: Vynilyn – “In The End” (original by Linkin Park)

Based in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, comes Vynilyn. It is the best of a DJ _and_ a Band, with two live violins, a world-renowned DJ, choreography, synced lighting, turntable tricks, a tailor made video show, and live vocals, all over custom remixed versions of your favourite songs.

So far they have a few singles out, including the earlier “Guardians of the Spacehog“, but today we’re focusing on their cover of Linkin Park’s “In The End”. Now, one thing I can’t imagine ever liking is being at a venue where some overpaid nob in a shiny jacket is doing nothing but pressing buttons on his bloody MacBook and the crowd is going nuts. Everyone has Spotify, or an mp3 collection. It’s hardly the same as a handful of sweaty metal monsters banging hell out of real actual instruments.

However… Vynilyn escape this trap by pairing said DJ with a couple of violinists, so credit where it’s due. They’ve also managed to turn “In The End” (from a band who, in all fairness, welcomed remixes) into a genuine dance club banger. Probably the only one of the night I’d enjoy instead of repeatedly slamming my face off a bartop. The regular version is below, but there is a more danci-fied remix available also.
