The blurb for this track came to us in Portuguese, which makes sense for a Brazilian band covering another Brazilian band. As The Palaces Burn are starting 2022 with the release of a new EP, Offer To The Gods, and their style is based heavily on “classic era” Sepultura. As such, this version of “Mass Hypnosis” is fairly faithful to the original. Which is fine by us!
“Under the strong influence of Max Cavalera, I took over the vocals on this track, faithfully performing the original record. It’s a classic of national metal, since Sepultura still keeps this song in their live set”, says guitarist Diego Bittencourt.
