Dead of Winter Fest has been and gone but the stench and memories from this event will live long in the memory. Fighting against the storm of a generation forced the promoters of DOW to make the event a one day festival, but all those that attended were treated to a near-capacity Ivory Blacks in Glasgow. It was a feast of underground death metal and a long twelve hour day was had. It was a pleasure to see so many old and new faces in the crowd.
Having seen Severe Lacerations at The Flying Duck in Glasgow for my birthday gig, it was especially pleasing to see them added to the bill for this years DOW festival. Once again, Severe Lacerations are a force to be reckoned with and played a stellar set. After their set, I caught up with the band to discuss DOW, the band and what they have in store for us in the near future.
