Wovenwar has officially announced August 4th as the release date for their self-titled debut album in North America! The album will be released August 4th in the UK.
Fans can stream a new song, “The Mason,” as well as pre-order the album now at Wovenwar’s Metal Blade page. Pre-order bundles include options to order a t-shirt, girls’ tee, or a tank top with a CD. Digital pre-orders are available, along with a limited quantity of vinyl imported from Europe!
Wovenwar documented the recording process of their self-titled debut, due out later this summer. Guitarist Nick Hipa shot and edited the series, as well as the singles and teasers streaming at wovenwar.com. Guitar, bass, and drum studio videos can be seen now on their YouTube channel.
Wovenwar will embark on their first ever US tour in July and August with Black Label Society and Kyng! After that they will do a festival run including appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals plus an intimate London debut at the Barfly on August 21, 2014. Later in the year they return to In Flames.
Wovenwar features the talents of Jordan Mancino (drums), Nick Hipa (guitar), Phil Sgrosso(guitar) and Josh Gilbert (bass) of San Diego, California based metal act As I Lay Dying, and Shane Blay (vocals) of Oh, Sleeper. The band’s first single, “All Rise,” from the band’s self-titled debut is available now on iTunes.
Over the course of this past year, Wovenwar completed work on new material and recorded with producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag). Mixing was handled by Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium).
