A few days back, a young Slayer fan mimicked a US television commercial to his car for sale on YouTube. He needed to money to get tickets to see the band at The Forum.
As of just now, it’s on around 106,000 views. One of those viewers was Tom Araya who took time ouf of recording the new Slayer album to respond:
I just happened to catch this. I was working on the record here, and somebody said “Have you seen this?” Wow.
Dude, you can’t sell your car for some Slayer tickets. Your car’s a piece of shit! Tell you what, we’ll give you the tickets! I got to go back – get some work done!
Closing text on the video states:
Awesome video, dude…
and don’t sell the car.
You’ll need it to get to The Forum.
