Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria expands to country and blues on his debut album

For fans of Asking Alexandria’s raging early albums, this may be a shock. Proceed at your own risk. The Long Road Home is the title of Danny’s transformative record, delivering real, raw emotion with songs about personal tragedy, hard-living and heartache. It will be released via Earache Records on February 17th. Having been homeless three times and in rehab twice, this unparalleled frontman has certainly paid his dues to sing the blues as is laid bare in album opener “Prozac” (video below).

With the help of some incredible and very talented people, I am pleased to announce that in 2017 I will be releasing my first album as a solo artist. It has been an emotional roller-coaster creating these songs, but the end result has left me humbled, proud, and more excited about a project than I ever have been in my life.

The Long Road Home track listing:

  1. Prozac
  2. Mexico
  3. I Feel Like Shit
  4. Anyone But Me
  5. High
  6. I Got Bones
  7. Quite A While
  8. Don’t Overdrink It
  9. I’ll Hold On
  10. Midnight Woman
  11. Same Old Ending
  12. The Man

The Long Road Home is available to pre-order now on limited-edition signed CD and coloured vinyl, along with a range of merch bundles here.

There will be a one off special album launch show on Tuesday the 14th of February at London’s Lexington. Tickets are on sale here. In addition there will be two exclusive, intimate performances either side of this London date shortly before the album’s launch. These will be on sunday the 12th of February at Crash Records in Leeds and Wednesday the 15th of February at Banquet Records in Kingston-upon-Thames. In July he will also be taking this new material to the third annual Ramblin’ Man Fair, the place that had Seasick Steve and Hawkwind… that’s where you’ll find Danny Worsnop these days. How weird is that?

The Long Road Home is out on February 17th via Earache Records.
