Gutter punk baddies The Battery Farm release new single “House of Pain” on Friday 13th

The Battery Farm are a gutter punk 4-piece from Manchester whose sound is heavy, powerful and dark but cut through with an incisive sense of melody. Formed in 2019 with brothers Ben and Dominic Corry, Paul Worrall and Sam Parkinson, they have built a reputation as one of the most innovative, dynamic, new bands in the country, described by Louder Than War as ‘gripping, slightly unsettling and unforgettable’. Their debut album Flies cemented this reputation, releasing in 2022 to success and acclaim, featuring the singles “A Working Class Lad” and “Wooden Spoon Number”.

“House of Pain” is the 12th single from the band. It’s a song about survival, a song that kicks back against the shame imposed on all of us who are scraping by in an ongoing and worsening cost of greed crisis. You do what you have to to survive, and how dare anyone in a position of privilege look down their nose. The single is released 13th October on Rare Vitamin Records with the B-side “A Time of Peace”, a song about living in a time of perpetual crisis. The single will be out on all platforms with a special limited edition 7 inch vinyl run the week after.
