It’s a holiday week up in Glasgow. I don’t really need to tell you this, just rubbing it in for those of you stuck at work. To ease the pain a little, here’s a quartet of rocky loveliness.
Them County Bastardz – “In the County”
Them County Bastardz released their debut album Sick Daze via Smokehouse Records in 2015. The album was produced by Chris Towle and TBC plus mastered by Chuck Carvaalho and delivers seven tracks of headbanging riffs with heavy lyrics giving insight to their lifestyle in Essex County (an hour south of Windsor/ Detroit area). Now you can get a glimpse of all the fun in Essex County with their latest music video, erm… “In The County”.
King Hiss – “Mastosaurus”
Belgian stoner rockers King Hiss recently shared a new song (the title track) from their forthcoming second full-length album, “Mastosaurus”. They’ve also dropped a second track, which you can hear over on soundcloud.
True Widow – “F.W.T.S: L.T.M.”
Dallas trio True Widow, who released their fourth album Avvolgere in late September, have premiered a new music video for “F.W.T.S: L.T.M”. The band commented about the video:
Once again we’ve ed forces with our good friend Mats Eks. This is the fourth video he’s done for us and in our opinion it’s easily his most ambitious. Shot in Dallas and Terlingua, Texas, Big Bend National Park, Mexico, Sweden and Norway, the images Mats used make the song feel more epic than we could have imagined. We’re honored to have someone like him in our corner when it comes to creating visuals for the sounds. He’s an artist, gentleman, and doggedly determined.
Red Cain – “Hiraeth”
Calgary, AB’s Red Cain have just released their new lyric video for their first single, “Hiraeth”, from their self-titled debut EP set for release on November 25th. The track was written as an anthem to glorious ages past, driven by the band’s Eastern European roots. Enveloped in Slavic mythology and imagery, the track takes the listener into an era where mysticism and sorcery coexisted with sharp steel, pagan hymns, and a still-present yearning for the restless wild. It is a gallop through hidden memories in their blood, and a call to arms from a long-forgotten heritage of renown.
