Friday – so unless you’re working the weekend (sorry and thank you if you are), it’s time to let your hair down. For those of you unlike myself who still have some…
Straight To Video – “Pet Sematary”
Rob Lane is one third of Ryan Hamilton and the Traitors (one of the ones who’s not Ryan…) and his personal ion project is running off cover versions of songs from 80’s movies. Straight To Video‘s latest release is this cover of the Ramones’ classic “Pet Sematary” from the Stephen King-inspired film of the same name.
GWAR – “I’ll Be Your Monster”
Premiered by Howard Stern, check out this cheeky video for a new track from GWAR‘s new album The Blood of Gods, out today.
We Came As Romans – “Foreign Fire”
Also out today is the new album from We Came As Romans, Cold Like War. With dual vocals and airs of Linkin Park around them, this could well be one worth checking out.
Gina And The Eastern Block – “Sippin’ On A Forty”
Not a new video (it’s a year old), but a new one on us and a band releasing some new material around now. Gina And The Eastern Block‘s lead singer Gina Katon recently toured with the likes of Motionless in White in the US (with her other band Little Miss Nasty) – maybe we’ll see them over here one day!
Small Town Titans – “Me, Myself, And Monster”
York, PA heavy rock band Small Town Titans has released the official music video for their new single, “Me, Myself, and Monster”. Says band member Phil Freeman:
The song is about accepting and striking balance with the darkest parts of oneself. Anyone who says they could never commit an evil deed is probably the first person that will, at some point, blindly and ignorantly commit it. Once you acknowledge your ability to become a monster, that’s the path to becoming a better person.
Peur – “An Exercise in Abstinence”
Manchester-based alt-rock trio Peur have unveiled their new single, “An Exercise in Abstinence”. Hitting your senses with a sound that fuses the edgy dexterity of Nine Inch Nails with the hook-laden know-how of Biffy Clyro, Peur are a band that you must hear.
