It’s been a while since I’d heard about Moses. I first came across them ing the mighty The Virginmarys in Manchester back in 2016. I their infectious energy on stage as they leapt around to their anarchic indie / alt rock set. I ed them immediately when their name popped up in my inbox so they must’ve certainly left an impression on me!
I was glad to hear they were still making music and are soon to release their debut album Almost Everything Is Bullshit (review to follow) and even happier to hear the first single from said album is set to be released this week (3rd April).
“Waiter” is a beautiful, tender introduction to the band. Victor’s sharp and edgy vocals intertwine effortlessly with the haunting backing track. The track tugs on the heart strings, the lyrics and acoustics will resonate with anyone dealing with feelings of frustration and loneliness. It’s a sublime opener from this indie pop four piece and I can’t wait to get stuck into the full album.
You can view the acoustic version of “Waiter” when you pre order the album (due out on 17th April) here.
